What training will I receive?

 

You and your employer will jointly select and negotiate training arrangements with a Registered Training Organisation, including the completion and signing of a Training Plan.

A Training Plan outlines a schedule for the delivery of the individual competencies you will achieve during your Traineeship or Apprenticeship, both with the Registered Training Organisation and the on-the-job training at work.

At the end of your Traineeship or Apprenticeship, you will become competent in a range of skills in your occupation or trade, and receive a nationally recognised qualification.

If you have previous training or other work experience, it may be possible to demonstrate that you already have competencies in some of the skill areas. You may then receive recognition for your prior learning to reduce the length of your Traineeship or Apprenticeship.
