The Training Contract is an agreement between you and your employer, which sets out the training conditions and the type of training you will undertake as an Australian Apprentice. It details who will be providing your training, and may also confirm that you and your employer have agreed that you will need to attend off-the-job training. Off-the-job training must be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation recognised by the Office of Training and Tertiary Education (OTTE).
The Training Contract must be signed by both you and your employer at the sign up meeting with your Jobs Plus Consultant. If you are under the age of 18 years, your parent or guardian must also sign your Training Contract. If you are under 15 years of age, your parent or guardian must also sign a Child Employment Permit.
Both the employer and Australian Apprentice receive a copy of the completed Training Contract.
